communication is the process of exchanging information, opinions and ideas. it's an active process which involves encoding (taking only the information that customers require), transmitting (what form of collateral you choose to carry this information on), and decoding (making sure your customers understand what you are selling).
the method of transmittal could be a number of different options - brochures, catalogue, newsletter, advertising,exhibition & display material or even packaging but what ever the option is, it needs to be applicable to the target market, it needs to be adaptable and it should be memorable.
